Handyman Estimates

    Estimates of time & materials are given free of charge. We prefer to work on a cost-plus basis (hourly + materials). Individuals that bid by the job have to pad the estimate to cover unforeseen issues and usually the homeowner is overcharged as a result. Bidding by the job can also provide incentive to take shortcuts in order to finish quickly and get to the next job. Another practice we hear about too often is "low-balling" an hourly based estimate in order to get a job and then it ends up costing more than expected because, well, "it is what it is". We do our very best to give a realistic estimate because we value your business and our reputation.
     We don't charge a separate service call fee but we do have a 2 hour minimum charge to cover our door to door expenses on small jobs.
     I am a veteran and I am happy to pass along my discounts at Home Depot and Lowe's. That can substantially offset our cost to you.
